The Mining Commission (the “Commission”) issued a public announcement on 08 April 2019 (the “Announcement”) informing all mineral right holders holding Prospecting Licence(s); Processing Licence(s); Mining Licence(s); Special Mining Licence(s); and Contractors and Subcontractors to mineral right holders, that they are required to submit a Local Content Performance Report (the “Report”) for the year ended 31 December 2018 in accordance with regulations 37, 38 and 39 of the Mining Local Content Regulations, 2018 (the “Regulations”).
The Announcement stipulates that, the Report must be submitted in a prescribed format which is attached to the Announcement. The template of the Report may be obtained from the Commission’s website, which can be accessed through the following link http://tumemadini.go.tz/
The Announcement further stipulates that the Reports are to be submitted in both soft copy and hard copy by 22 May 2019. The soft copies should be emailed to localcontent@tumemadini.go.tz while hard copies should be delivered to the Executive Secretary, Mining Commission which is located in Dodoma.
